One of our customers contacted us regarding the stunning arched windows in her residence located in the Coeur d'Alene area. The local builder, Romane Construction, built this house with exquisite wood-wrapped arched windows. However, the homeowner required a solution for light management and privacy that would also complement the home's architectural style.
Upon our arrival, our design team immediately considered using arched interior custom-stained shutters, as they could be tailored to seamlessly fit the curves of the arched windows.
Matching The Wood Window Casing Color
We offer three top tier shutter manufacturers and we landed on Norman for two reasons:
Norman offered the best color match to the wood window casings. The stain color chosen was Sumatra.

Sometimes it's nice to have privacy in part of your window and a view from other parts. The homeowners liked this option in the front of their house so that they can maintain some privacy from delivery services while seeing out.
Choosing a Louver Size For The Motorized Arched Shutter
Shutters typically come with several available louver sizes from 1.5"- 4.5". The larger the louver size, the more view through when they are tilted open. Choosing the right size also depends on the window size and style of your home. Larger louvers look more modern while smaller louvers offer a more classic shutter style.
